Westmere Elementary supply lists for 2025-26

Listed are the common supplies needed for each grade level. With the August placement letter, parents/guardians will receive this list and information about any additional items that your child’s teacher may request. Please note that this is only the basic list of supplies.

Kindergarten | First Grade | Second Grade | Third Grade | Fourth Grade | Fifth Grade

Kindergarten

No need to label these items:

  • 2 boxes of 24 Crayola crayons
  • 12 or 24 pack of Ticonderoga pencils
  • 1 box of Crayola colored pencils
  • 1 box thick Crayola markers
  • 1 four-pack of BLACK EXPO THIN dry erase markers
  • 1 pack of Crayola watercolor paints
  • 1 two-pocket RED poly folder with horizontal pockets
  • 1 two-pocket BLUE poly folder with horizontal pockets
  • 6-8 glue sticks
  • 1 box of tissues
  • Big pink or white Erasers
  • 1 box of gallon-size Ziploc bags
  • 1-2 containers of Play-Doh
  • 1 pack of Post-it notes
  • 1 pack of baby wipes
  • 1 pack of Mr. Clean Erasers

Please label the below items with your child’s name:

  • 1 reusable water bottle (spill-proof)
  • 1 heavy duty poly folder with horizontal pockets (this will be your child’s
  • take-home folder)
  • 1 backpack, large enough to hold a lunch box, take-home folder and books (please NO rolling backpacks with wheels)
  • 1 change of clothes in a reusable shopping bag labeled with child’s name
    (include a shirt, pants, underwear & socks)

First Grade

  • 1 two-pocket folder (blue)
  • 1 two-pocket durable plastic folder (to be used as a take home folder)
  • 1 pack of 100 white 3×5 Index cards
  • 3 boxes of tissues
  • 1 box of Ziploc baggies (A-L: sandwich-size and M-Z: gallon-size)
  • 24 pencils (Ticonderoga brand, sharpened please)
  • 8 thin, black dry erase markers
  • 1 box of Crayola Classic Colors markers (thick)
  • 1 box of Crayola Classic Colors markers (thin)
  • 1 box of Crayola Classic Colors colored pencils
  • 1 box of Crayola Classic Colors 24 crayons
  • 6 regular size glue sticks (unscented)

Please label the following supplies with your child’s name:

  • 1 pair of child’s scissors
  • 1 pair of headphones: please make sure they are comfortable for your child. Kids tend to prefer headphones as opposed to ear buds. The jack should be straight and not a right angle in order to best fit our Chrome Tablets.

Wish List:

These items are not required for your child; however, we will use them throughout the year. Any donations would be greatly appreciated!

Second Grade

  • 1 take home folder (any design)
  • 4 plastic folders (1 red, 1 yellow, 1 green, 1 blue)
  • 1 marble composition notebook (wide lines)
  • 1 highlighter
  • 1 package of glue sticks
  • 1 package thin markers
  • 1 package of Crayola Twistable colored pencils
  • 4 black Expo dry erase markers
  • 1 box of crayons
  • 1 pair Fiskars scissors
  • 1 set of watercolor paints (Crayola brand is preferred)
  • 2 boxes Ticonderoga pencils, sharpened
  • 3 boxes of Kleenex
  • 1 pair of headphones for Chromebooks
  • 1 package of square post-it notes unlined, any color
  • 1 plastic pencil box
  • 1 package of Ziploc bags, by first letter of last name
    • A-L Gallon Size
    • M-Z Quart Size

  • Sturdy take-home folder

  • Plastic pencil box (recommended size: 8x5x2)
  • Headphones or earbuds (in a bag labeled with child’s name)
  • Crayola markers (1 box of thin)
  • Pocket folders (1 red, 1 blue, 1 green)
  • 2 boxes of tissues
  • 5″ kids Fiskar’s scissors
  • 4 thin Expo dry erase markers
  • 6 regular Elmer’s glue sticks
  • 2 rectangle pink erasers
  • 1 package of 3×3 Post-it notes
  • 2 boxes of 24-count Ticonderoga #2 pencils, sharpened

Fourth Grade

For you:

  • 5 folders (red, yellow, blue, green, purple), the 2-pocket folders work great
  • 1 durable take-home folder with pockets (any design)
  • 3 lined composition notebooks, any color or design
  • Three 24-pack sharpened yellow Ticonderoga No. 2 pencils
  • Small pencil sharpener (not electronic, should fit inside pencil case)
  • One 24-pack colored pencils or crayons
  • 1 package regular markers
  • 4-pack thin dry erase markers
  • 1 pair scissors
  • 3-pack glue sticks
  • 1 large durable pencil case
  • Headphones, out of package and in a Ziploc bag labeled with name

For The Class:

  • 3 large boxes of tissues
  • Last names A-L: One box of sandwich-sized Ziploc bags 
  • Last names M-Z: One package of Post-it notes

*Please note:

  • Do not send wheeled backpacks! The lockers in the 4th grade hallways
    are very thin and do not fit such items.
  • You will receive an agenda! This, your take-home folder, and water bottle
    (and lunch box if you have one) will go back and forth between school
    and home. Everything else stays at school.

  • 1 sturdy folder (plastic-coated is best), any design for a homework folder
  • Headphones/earbuds (this is VERY important – we use them daily!)
  • Clipboard
  • Supply box/bag that holds all of the following items (smaller bags won’t hold all the supplies and are easily lost in their desk)
  • Scissors, large
  • Markers
  • Colored pencils/ crayons
  • 4-pack or bigger of dry erase markers

To be shared as a community: Please do not label with student name

  • 24 Dixon Ticonderoga pencils, sharpened
  • 2-pack Pink Pearl erasers
  • 2 black Sharpies
  • 2 highlighters
