2021-22 budget approved by voters; three candidates elected to board of education

On Tuesday, May 18, Guilderland Central School District residents approved a $104,979,570 budget for the 2021-22 school year by a vote of 1748 (yes) to 829 (no), a 68% approval. The budget carries a 1.89% increase in spending over the current year’s budget and will result in a 1.28% tax levy increase, which is at the district’s levy limit. 

Residents also approved the purchase of eight 66-passenger buses and a district delivery vehicle, by a vote of 1794 (yes) and 782 (no).

Voters also elected three members to the Board of Education:

  • Seema Rivera (1707)
  • Blanca Gonzalez-Parker (1481)
  • Nathan Sabourin (1400)
