Vivenzio and Ackert named Dutchmen of the Week for March 30

Each week, we highlight two student-athletes (modified, mod 9, frosh, JV or varsity level) for athletic accomplishments based on the following criteria:

  • The athlete should have made a significant impact on a contest within the nomination time frame, which is the week prior to selection; or
  • The athlete must have shown excellent leadership, sportsmanship, noticeable improvement or effort, community service, and/or other notable traits.

Congratulations to Giada Vivenzio (Varsity Softball) and Ryan Ackert (Varsity Baseball) for earning DOW (Dutchmen of the Week) honors for March 30th to April 12th.

Giada Vivenzio (Varsity Softball)

Giada leads the team with a .600 batting average and a 1.355 ERA in 10 innings pitched. She has made a strong impact at both the plate and in the circle to open her senior season, while continuing to bring a team-first mentality.

Ryan Ackert (Varsity Baseball)

Last week, Ryan helped the Dutchmen to a 2-1 record, batting .556 (5-for-9) with three RBIs over three games.
