School budget vote and board of education election set for May 19

On Tuesday, May 19, district residents will vote on the $133,900,025 proposed spending plan for the 2026-27 school year. Voters will also elect three members to the board of education and decide on the reauthorization of capital reserve funding and a bus proposition.

The vote will be held on Tuesday, May 19, from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. This year, voting locations will be at the Altamont, Pine Bush and Westmere elementary schools. Voters who live within the Altamont, Pine Bush or Westmere attendance zones will vote at their home schools. Residents of the Lynnwood Elementary attendance zone will vote at Pine Bush, while residents of the Guilderland Elementary attendance zone will vote at Westmere. Click here to find your voting location.

After voting, district residents will have the opportunity to complete an anonymous exit survey. The survey results will help inform future budget decisions and provide feedback on how budget information is shared with the community. Anyone who chooses to complete the survey can do so digitally or on paper at each polling site.
