Ruggiero and Warren named Dutchmen of the Week for April 27

Each week, we highlight two student-athletes (modified, mod 9, frosh, JV or varsity level) for athletic accomplishments based on the following criteria:

  • The athlete should have made a significant impact on a contest within the nomination time frame, which is the week prior to selection; or
  • The athlete must have shown excellent leadership, sportsmanship, noticeable improvement or effort, community service, and/or other notable traits.

Congratulations to Leo Ruggiero (Modified Baseball) and Lee Warren (Varsity Lacrosse) for earning DOW (Dutchmen of the Week) honors for the week of May 4th.

Leo Ruggiero (Modified Baseball)

Leo continued to lead the Mod 7/8 baseball team this week, excelling at the plate and behind it. He extended his streak of throwing out base stealers to five straight games and added three stolen bases.

He also provides strong vocal leadership, helping keep pitchers focused and confident while setting the tone for the team.

Lee Warren (Varsity Lacrosse)

Last week, Lee Warren led the varsity boys lacrosse team to three wins, outscoring opponents 49-5. He recorded 16 goals and nine assists over the three games.

Warren also set program records for career goals and points, with 140 goals and 200 points, both still increasing.
