A message from Dr. Wiles:

Dear GCSD Families,

Yesterday, Mar. 31, teachers at Guilderland High School attended a professional development training that provided strategies and resources to better support LGBTQ students at GHS. This training was recorded and the recording was inadvertently posted on the GHS Media YouTube channel. Because the district does not post recordings of professional development trainings and did not have permission from the presenters to do so, the video was subsequently removed. GCSD has received some questions and in the interest of transparency, we wanted to clarify what happened.

COVID-19 cases for Mar. 29-Apr. 1

The information below details the number of new COVID-19 positive cases for Mar. 29-Apr. 1. For daily positive COVID-19 cases affecting GCSD, please visit the NYS COVID-19 Report Card.

Altamont Elementary School: 4 new cases
Guilderland Elementary School: 1 new case
Lynnwood Elementary School: 3 new cases
Pine Bush Elementary School: 4 new cases
Westmere Elementary School: 1 new cases
Farnsworth Middle School: 10 new cases
Guilderland High School: 13 new cases

Reminder, there will be a Board of Education budget workshop on Tuesday, Apr. 5 at 7:00 p.m. in the Large Group Instruction room at Guilderland High School. This meeting is open to the public and will also be live-streamed on the GHS Media YouTube channel.
