Congratulations to Brooke Sommo (Varsity Swimming) and Nate Palmer (JV Golf) for earning DOW (Dutchmen of the Week) honors for the week of October 4th.
Brooke became the 1st Guilderville swimmer this season to qualify for states! She swam the 100 fly at the Shenendehowa Invitational in a time of 59:43. Way to go, Brooke!
Nate shot a 39, his season low, to lead the Guilderland JV Golf team to victory in the season ending tournament. It was the first victory in the tournament for the Dutch since 2007. Nate’s terrific play earned him the low medalist award for the tournament. Nate is also a great ambassador for Guilderland as he is friendly and outgoing with kids from every school in the league.
