Capital Improvement Project ThoughtExchange

Have questions on the capital project? The GCSD website has answers

On Thursday, October 7, Guilderland residents will head to the polls to decide on a $21.8 million capital improvement project. If approved by voters, the project will address the priorities of improving learning opportunities, enhancing safety and security for students and staff, and replacing or updating aging infrastructure in the GCSD’s seven buildings. The project addresses three main areas:

  1. Infrastructure upgrades and improvements: heating, ventilation systems, bathrooms, roofs, lighting, windows, flooring, lockers, etc.;
  2. Outdoor learning spaces: playgrounds, outdoor learning pavilions, high school track and turf field;
  3. Educational technology: equipment replacement, data security, virtualization, classroom projection systems.
