ParentSquare information for community members
ParentSquare is a way to receive email news from the district and its schools.
The district began utilizing ParentSquare in the 2023-24 school year for emergency notifications, such as school closings/delays and emergency situations in schools and has since expanded its use to include school and district-level messages.

New York Power Authority (NYPA) BioBlitz
Join NYPA May 16-23 to explore local biodiversity and learn how to map observations using the iNaturalist app.

Spring Flag Football League
All Star Elite Inc. is hosting recreation flag football on Friday nights in June and July, at Nott Road Park in Guilderland. It costs $150 to participate (and for siblings the third child is free). You must register by May 3, and can do so through this link. For more details, click here.
Social justice art and essay contest
The Guilderland Teachers’ Association invites artists and writers from grades 2-12 to submit an entry for their first Social Justice Committee Art and Essay Contest:
“LIFT EVERY VOICE: BE COURAGEOUS, SEEK JUSTICE, SHOW LOVE”
Students are asked to explore what it means to act with integrity, even when it is difficult.

“I Voted” sticker design contest
The Albany County Legislature in conjunction with the County Board of Elections are launching the fourth annual “I Voted” sticker design

Designs may be dropped off in-person at any GCSD main office or the Albany County Office Building at 112 State St. Albany, NY. They may also be submitted via email.

Scouts BSA Troop 1083
This troop is part of the Twin Rivers Council.
Who can Join: Any youth, regardless of gender, who is either (a) 11 years old or over, or (b) have completed 5th grade, or (c) have earned the Arrow Light and are at least 10 years old.
Troop Meeting Schedule:
- Days: Thursdays when school is in session.
- Time: 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Location: McKnowville United Methodist Church, 1565 Western Ave, Albany, NY or in the warm weather Tawasentha park.

Host a foreign scholar
ASSE International Student Exchange Programs is in need of twenty families to host foreign exchange students, ages 15 to 18, coming to spend 10 months in the United States. These students come with their own spending money and health insurance. ASSE International Student Exchange Programs invites you and your family to join in this memorable and valued cultural experience. Donations being accepted in honor of Philip L. Rabadi
Donations are being accepted to honor Philip L. Rabadi, a 2004 Guilderland High School graduate. Killed in April 2022, Philip was a beloved and talented surgical physician assistant at St. Peter’s Hospital. Contributions will go towards charitable projects in Philip’s name. Drama Kids Programs
In-person and online classes are fun, engaging, and filled with activities that will grow your child’s acting abilities, and help them develop the life skills they’ll need to navigate the changing world we live in.
Drama Kids is committed to safely reopening live classes in Guilderland, Colonie, Delmar & Clifton Park. Class size is limited and taught under federally-approved COVID-19 guidelines.

Guilderland Central School District Scholarship Fund
