Darshana Saravanakumar was named Westmere Elementary School Young Artist of the Month. Darshana is a fifth grade student and has demonstrated the artist habit of mind: develop craft. For the past few years, Darshana has been dedicated to practicing and developing her craft by creating art in her sketchbook. She often practices in her free time and works with the media of pencil, colored pencil, oil pastel and paint. Darshana knows that the way to improve at something is to work hard at it and never give up, even if it is challenging. Great work Darshana!
