FMS 2022 Butterfly Station opens on July 13

The Farnsworth Middle School Butterfly Station will open on July 13 and will be open Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. until August 11. Free to all visitors, guided tours are conducted daily, with the last tours held on August 11.

The Butterfly Release Ceremony is scheduled for Friday, August 12 at 10:30 a.m.

The Butterfly Station is a student-run, community service program designed to educate about the Albany Pine Bush Preserve and the importance of butterflies to our local habitat.

Support the Butterfly Station 

To raise funds for the Butterfly Station, an online apparel store will be open until Sunday, June 19 at 11:50 p.m. All items are printed with a new student-created logo and are available in both youth and adult sizes. You can choose from three delivery methods:

  • Ship to your home for a fee;
  • Pick up items at Wicked Smart in Watervliet;
  • Pick up items at the Butterfly Station. If you choose this option, Mrs. Fanning will pick up your items at Wicked Smart and deliver them to the Butterfly Station; please inform her via email at fanningm@guilderlandschools.net that you have selected this option.
