Guilderland High School student Will Gibney, who spent the past two years writing and illustrating a book that has now been published, is having a book signing event to celebrate the release of “My Boy, Will”. Will wrote and illustrated this book to raise awareness of PANDAS, PANS and AE and the impact of Canine Companions, an organization that provides highly-trained assistance dogs at no cost to those with disabilities.

“My Boy, Will” is told from the perspective of Toshi, Will’s real-life service dog. It is the story of Will’s triumph over immunodeficiency and autoimmune encephalopathy with the love and support of his service dog. It details how such a successful service dog team was created. This was a gratitude project for Will and all royalties are going to Canine Companions.

Writing and illustrating this book was a gratitude project for Will and all royalties are going to Canine Companions. Will earned the money to buy hardcover author copies that he will be giving away at the book signing for a $20 donation to Canine Companions.

The book signing event will be held at Colonie Center on Sunday, December 12, at 12:00 p.m. “My Boy, Will” is available for purchase at Barnes & Noble and Amazon.
