Congratulations are in order for Guilderland High School juniors Rumeysa Kara and Mirzad Glavic for their performance in the Brown University Simulation of the United Nations (BUSUN).
BUSUN, a Model United Nations conference for high school students, was held virtually by Brown University on Nov. 5-7 where Rumeysa and Mirzad, both juniors, received awards for their performances.
Rumeysa was given a verbal commendation for her work on the YouTube Board of Directors committee as Nadine Zylstra, and Mirzad was awarded Outstanding Delegate for his work on the Economic and Social Council as the delegate from China.
