Guilderland Central School District Reopening Plan Released, July 31, 2020

The health and safety of our students, our staff and their families is our top priority. We want students and employees to feel comfortable and safe returning to school campuses. We will continue to be in an environment of change and as a result, we will continue to modify, update, and improve this reopening plan as needed throughout the year. Between Aug. 1 and Aug. 7, Gov. Andrew Cuomo is expected to make a decision on the reopening of schools by region based on:

  • Open: Schools can open in a region in Phase 4 where there is an infection rate at or below 5 percent (14-day average)
  • Close: Schools will close if the regional infection rate rises above 9 percent (7-day average)
