Important Reminder About Following COVID-19 Safety Protocols Inside and Outside of School

Please see the important message sent to families from Dr. Marie Wiles:

Dear GCSD Families,

There is still time to share your thoughts about how the 2020-2021 school year is going in our ThoughtExchange. Your anonymous feedback will help us plan for the second half of the school year, which is why it is essential that we have participation from families with children who are learning in each instructional model. The exchange closes at Midnight tomorrow, October 28, so don’t forget to go back and rate, share and discover what others are saying. So far, feedback from the exchange is overwhelmingly positive and constructive — thank you.

During this pandemic, our goal is to keep your children safe and our schools open to continue to provide high-quality learning opportunities for students learning in person, remotely, or in our hybrid model. Therefore, I cannot emphasize enough how important it is for everyone to follow COVID-19 safety protocols both inside and outside of school. Especially now, with Halloween and other holidays approaching, please do your part to keep one another safe so that we can keep our schools open. Please remember to wear a mask, practice social distancing, and limit large group gatherings.

The health and safety of our students and staff are of the utmost importance. Please take a moment to review our return to school protocols per guidance from the New York State Department of Health.

Thank you for your continued support and please be safe and healthy.

Sincerely,

Dr. Marie Wiles
Superintendent of Schools
