Isak Brkanovic and Antonio Cipollo named Dutchmen of the Week for the week of Jan. 9

Congratulations to Isak Brkanovic (Varsity Swimming & Diving) and Antonio Cipollo (Varsity Wrestling) for earning DOW (Dutchmen of the Week) honors for the week of January 9th.  

Isak Brkanovic (Varsity Swimming & Diving)

Isak extended his undefeated season by winning both of his individual events vs Shendehowa last week.  Isak won both the 50 Freestyle and the 100 Breaststroke.  He is now 9 and 0 in his individual event this season.  He is currently ranked #3 in Section 2 in the 50 Freestyle and #6 in the 100 Breaststroke!

Antonio Cipollo (Varsity Wrestling)

Antonio has been on the varsity wrestling team since 8th grade.  He is currently ranked 4th in Section 2 at 215 lbs.  He was the Ravena Invitational Champion two weeks back and this past weekend he competed in the Eastern States Wrestling Classic against the top 25 wrestlers in the northeastern US!

  • The athlete should have made a significant impact on a contest within the nomination time frame, which is the week prior to selection; or…
