Last evening and today, the district learned of four new COVID-19 cases connected to Guilderland High School. Two of these cases require contact tracing at the school per Albany County Department of Health guidelines, and those individuals have been contacted. The Department of Health should be following up with those individuals.
Surveillance COVID-19 testing in our schools is still underway. We adjusted our testing plan to test consenting GHS students tomorrow, Jan. 29, at the high school. We will continue testing Pine Bush Elementary School students and district maintenance/transportation staff next week. We will share testing results on Monday, Feb. 1, and then when testing is completed on Friday, Feb. 5.
