Jan. 27: Two New Cases; Testing at GHS

New COVID-19 Cases and Testing

Last evening and today, the district learned of two new COVID-19 cases. Both cases are connected to Guilderland High School, and neither required contact tracing per Albany County Department of Health guidelines.

As you know, on-site COVID-19 surveillance testing began last week and is still underway in GCSD schools this week. We will be sharing updated results on Monday, Feb. 1. Because the high school is remote all this week, we are testing only staff in this building. However, in an attempt to avoid disruptions for students next week, we will administer COVID-19 tests to consenting GHS students this Friday, Jan. 29 at the high school. Consenting GHS families and students received information earlier today.
