Mary Elizabeth (Birdie) O’Brien was named Guilderland Elementary School Young Artist of the Month. Birdie is in Mrs. Ruhl’s third grade class and loves art. Mrs. Bollentin, the art teacher at GES, said “Birdie loves art and I can see her desire to improve her art skills each week. She is always looking at her work to find ways to edit and improve it.” Birdie is learning to talk about and assess the process of artmaking for herself and others. Congratulations to Birdie!
