Dear GCSD Families,
Please note, all Guilderland Central School District schools and the district office will be closed on Monday, October 10. This is in observance of Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples Day; classes will resume on Tuesday, October 11.
COVID-19 vaccination opportunities
With Albany County now at a high level of COVID-19 transmission, you may be interested in vaccination opportunities. A good source is the Albany County Department of Health website, which lists up-to-date vaccination clinics for community members of all ages.
Securly update sent to upper grade level students
Earlier today Guilderland High School and Farnsworth Middle School students received an email updating them on Securly, the filtering suite GCSD utilizes to protect students when they are using online technology on school-issued devices. Securly now offers a home app that allows parents and guardians to monitor online activity on school-issued devices during non-school hours.
The student email also served as a reminder of the guidelines the district has implemented to protect all students from harmful or inappropriate online content, as outlined in the Internet and Computer Acceptable Use Policy. Every time students turn on their devices they receive a prompt regarding this agreement.
