Superintendent Mayberry invites community feedback through ThoughtExchange, open through Oct. 15

Dear GCSD families and community members,

Since joining the Guilderland Central School District on Aug. 1, I have had the opportunity to meet numerous students, families, teachers, support staff, and community members. In each conversation, I have seen the care and commitment that make Guilderland such a special place.

As I continue to learn and better understand our school community, I want to hear directly from you. That is why we are launching a districtwide ThoughtExchange.

I invite you to share your thoughts in the following areas:

  • What are the greatest strengths of our schools that we should maintain or build upon?

  • What challenges or areas for improvement do you see?

  • What opportunities can we pursue to grow, innovate, and better serve our students and families?

  • What outside factors might affect our district’s ability to meet its goals?

The exchange will be open through Wednesday, Oct. 15. You are encouraged to join the conversation today and return often to rate new ideas shared by others.

Your input will help guide important decisions and ensure that our schools remain strong, supportive, and focused on student success. I look forward to learning from you.

Sincerely,
Daniel Mayberry
Superintendent of Schools
