Congratulations to Vincent Morizio (Varsity Wrestling) and Tyler Witazek (Modified Basketball) for earning DOW (Dutchmen of the Week) honors for the week of December 6.
Vincent has placed first in his last two tournaments. This includes a win at the Columbia Duals and a win at The Wrangle on the Plains. Way to go, Vincent!
Tyler led the modified basketball team with 24 points in a 57-16 season opening win over Bethlehem. He only played 10 minutes while also securing 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Great work, Tyler!
Dutchmen of the Week
Each week, we will highlight one male and one female student athlete (Modified, Mod 9, Frosh, JV or varsity level) for athletic accomplishments based on the following criteria.
- The athlete should have made a significant impact to a contest within the nomination time frame, which is the week prior to selection; or
- The athlete must have shown excellent leadership, sportsmanship, noticeable improvement/effort, community service and/or other notable trait(s).
