June 27 update: a farewell message from Superintendent Wiles

A message from Dr. Wiles:

Dear Guilderland Families,

As the days of this school year wind down, so too does my time serving as the Superintendent of the Guilderland Central School District. Monday will be my last day. It has been my honor and privilege to be your superintendent for the last nearly 15 years.

This week I had the pleasure of attending many moving up ceremonies at our elementary buildings, at FMS and the commencement ceremony at MVP arena for our Class of 2025. At each, I was reminded of all the wonderful work that our faculty and staff do on behalf of your children. I am so fortunate to have been the leader of this team effort.

There is no doubt that this is a time of significant transition for our school community. I am confident that Guilderland will continue to be a place known for the quality of the education we offer our students and our commitment to make sure that each and every child leaves here ready for whatever the future might bring.

Thank you for your continued support of Guilderland Central School District and for the privilege of serving you, your children and our community.

Sincerely,

Marie Wiles, Ph.D.
Superintendent
