April 3 update: Budget discussions and spring updates

Dear GCSD community,

At the March 31 meeting and workshop, the Board of Education continued its review of the district’s budget proposal for the coming year. Discussions centered around addressing the budget gap and potential restorations of proposed cuts. You can view a summary of the meeting here.

We invite our community to join us for the next Board of Education meeting on April 14 when the board is scheduled to adopt a budget proposal.

Happy spring break! This week is a great opportunity for our school community to rest and recharge. When students and staff return, we’ll be entering one of the most energizing and exciting times of the year, filled with celebrations, milestones and the joy that comes with the final months of school.

Thank you for your continued support of our schools and for all you do each day to help our students succeed. We look forward to finishing the year strong together. Have a safe and restful spring break!

Sincerely,

Daniel Mayberry
