Chris Vincent Jr and Addison Vellekoop named Dutchmen of the Week for the week of Jan. 15

Congratulations to Chris Vincent Jr (Modified Basketball) and Addison Vellekoop (Varsity Indoor Track & Field) for earning DOW (Dutchmen of the Week) honors for the week of January 15.

Chris Vincent Jr (Modified Basketball)

Chris has been bringing immense energy during our games. Leading the top of our 1-2-2 press and drawing contact in every game. He scored 10 points in our victory over Albany last week. He works hard in practice and always has a mentality of becoming a better player!

Addison Vellekoop (Varsity Indoor Track & Field)

Addison had an outstanding day this past Saturday. She set two school records. The first was the 1000m, where she broke her own school record with a time of 2:55.15. She later came back and broke her 600m record with a time of 1:33.60. This time is the fastest time ever run in Section 2 history! It is ranked #1 in NYS and #5 in the USA this year. This got her invited to run the 600 at the prestigious Millrose Games, where she will compete against the best runners in the country.
