Congratulations to the GHS boys soccer team on an outstanding season

Their run took them to the class AA state championship, where they fell to Scarsdale

On Sunday, Nov. 12, the Guilderland High School boys varsity soccer team faced Scarsdale in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Class AA boys soccer championship. Played at Middletown High School, the game ended with Scarsdale defeating the GHS team 4-2. This loss ended a nine-game winning streak; the team’s record was 15-4-3 for the season.

Guilderland defeated Clarence 2-1 on Saturday, Nov. 11, in the semifinal game to advance to the state championship.

When returning to Guilderland High School on Sunday, the team was escorted by several Guilderland Fire Department vehicles and were welcomed by a large crowd. The entire Guilderland Central School District community is extremely proud of the GHS boys soccer team on their exceptional season!
