June 24 update: Class of 22 commencement; close of the 2021-22 school year

A message from Dr. Wiles:

Dear GCSD Families,

This morning the Class of 2022 graduated from Guilderland High School. Despite having faced many challenges during their years at GHS, this class is departing the Guilderland Central School District with messages of hope, peace and encouragement. You can view the commencement ceremony on the GHS Media YouTube channel; please watch the GCSD social media pages in the coming days for photos from today’s ceremony.

The information below details the number of new COVID-19 positive cases for June 21-June 24. For daily positive COVID-19 cases affecting GCSD, please visit the NYS COVID-19 Report Card.

Altamont Elementary School: no new cases
Guilderland Elementary School: 2 new cases
Lynnwood Elementary School: no new cases
Pine Bush Elementary School: no new cases
Westmere Elementary School: 1 new case
Farnsworth Middle School: 1 new case
Guilderland High School: no new cases

As the 2021-22 school year comes to a close, I would like to thank all of the GCSD families for your continued support, patience and flexibility. While all three qualities were often required to navigate this school year, ultimately this was a productive and rewarding year for GCSD students!

This will be my last weekly update for a while, however I will be sending periodic updates as we prepare for the 2022-23 school year. Have a safe and enjoyable summer!
