Congratulations to Violet McCutcheon (Varsity XC Ski) and Isak Brkanovic (Varsity Swimming & Diving) for earning DOW (Dutchmen of the Week) honors for Feb. 12 to March 3.
Violet McCutcheon (Varsity XC Ski)
Violet qualified for the State Championship race in Lake Placid and skied against the best racers in the state- earning respectable times for her sophomore debut. Violet always has a positive attitude and her teammates look to her for leadership and support.
Isak Brkanovic (Varsity Swimming & Diving)
Isak just finished 6th in NYS in the 50 Freestyle and 12th in NYS in the 100 Freestyle. Both swims broke the school records for those events. He was also on the 200 Medley Relay team that finished 13th in NYS and the 200 Freestyle Relay that finished 9th in NYS. Overall, Isak brought home 5 medals and 2 school records when the NYSPHSAA Swimming & Diving Championships were all said and done!
