Camp Invention to be held at PBES August 8-12, 2016

In partnership with the National Inventors Hall of Fame, Guilderland Central School District is pleased to once again offer the nationally-acclaimed Camp Invention program to children entering grades one through six this summer. Throughout the fall and winter, reading students at Westmere Elementary School once again had two very special guests to help them with their studies. Melia Steed, a recent graduate of South Colonie, visited weekly along with her dog, Carly, to provide a relaxed and "dog friendly" atmosphere in which children could practice their reading skills. Student information updates

Earlier this fall, a letter was distributed to all parents via the district's SchoolTool Parent & Student Portal highlighting some important details regarding student information updates in the new school year. In particular, the letter addresses changes to how report cards and Individual Student Reports (ISRs) for grade 3-8 assessments will be available to parents as well as information about verifying and updating your child's health information. Note to parents regarding access during afternoon dismissal time

Please note that the back doors for parent pickup at the 2 p.m. dismissal time will be opened from 1:50 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. only. Y-time will have someone stationed to watch for people that will be picking up children from their program after 2:15 p.m.
