Roberts and Castleman named Dutchmen of the Week for April 20

Each week, we highlight two student-athletes (modified, mod 9, frosh, JV or varsity level) for athletic accomplishments based on the following criteria:

  • The athlete should have made a significant impact on a contest within the nomination time frame, which is the week prior to selection; or
  • The athlete must have shown excellent leadership, sportsmanship, noticeable improvement or effort, community service, and/or other notable traits.

Congratulations to Jacob Roberts (Varsity Lacrosse) and Reese Castleman (JV Lacrosse) for earning DOW (Dutchmen of the Week) honors for the week of April 20th

Jacob Roberts (Varsity Lacrosse)

Jacob helped lead the varsity lacrosse team to two Suburban Council wins last week. He had one goal and six assists in a 12-8 victory over Burnt Hills, then added two goals and three assists in an 8-7 win against Ballston Spa.

Reese Castleman (JV Lacrosse)

As captain of the Guilderland JV girls lacrosse team, Reese has set the standard for leadership, sportsmanship and commitment. She leads by example with steady effort, clear communication and a positive presence on and off the field.

Reese has been a key part of the team’s 8-0 start, anchoring the defense by forcing turnovers, winning ground balls and limiting scoring opportunities. She has also contributed offensively, scoring two goals against both Kingston and Ballston Spa. Her team-first approach and consistent play make her a strong candidate for this recognition.
