Each week, we highlight two student-athletes (modified, mod 9, frosh, JV or varsity level) for athletic accomplishments based on the following criteria:
- The athlete should have made a significant impact on a contest within the nomination time frame, which is the week prior to selection; or
- The athlete must have shown excellent leadership, sportsmanship, noticeable improvement or effort, community service, and/or other notable traits.
Congratulations to Joe Kosier (Varsity Hockey), Jackson Eberz (Varsity Basketball) and Jack Larson (Varsity Indoor Track & Field) for earning DOW (Dutchmen of the Week) honors for December 22nd to January 4th.
Joe Kosier (Varsity Ice Hockey)
Team captain Joe Kosier led the Storm offensive effort in recent games, recording 6 points (4 goals, 2 assists) over three non-league contests against Plattsburgh, Rome Free Academy and Mohawk Valley. (The Storm is the Division 1 New York State Public High School Athletic Association hockey team for students of Guilderland, Mohonasen, Scotia-Glenville, Voorheesville, and Schalmont.)

Jackson Eberz (Varsity Basketball)
Senior captain Jackson Eberz helped lead the Dutchmen to the 2025 Kirvin Cup Holiday Tournament championship. In the finals against Mohonasen, he made a clutch steal, finished through contact, and converted a three-point play in the finals, which was the defining play of the game. Over two tournament games, Jackson totaled 27 points, 11 rebounds, 14 assists, and 8 steals, earning a well-deserved spot on the All-Tournament Team. In his next game, a league win over Burnt Hills, he scored a career high of 33 points.

Jack Larson (Varsity Indoor Track & Field)
Jack Larson had a notable performance at the highly-competitive Ocean Breeze Freedom Games held in January 2026, where he placed first in the 300m race. Larson is a respected athlete, known as a positive role model on his team who models hard work, dedication, and positivity.
